Biography
I am a Pediatric and General thoracic surgeon, registered in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. I obtained my PhD at the University of Amsterdam and started to work as a pediatric surgeon in the Sophia Children’s Hospital (2015). There I became director of the “Pediatric Chest Center” until 2024 and became assistant professor in 2020. In 2024 I became deputy head of the department of pediatric surgery.
Expertise
My clinical and research work is focused on pediatric thoracic pathology with special interest in congenital lung malformations. I am a member of several Dutch and European societies.
